Offcourse the phone has been around for some time and in the U.K. it’s been on sale for atleast 2 months. After Holland, there will be a push to get the phone to market in most of europe. Inculding Germany, Poland, the Chek republic and Austria.

Eindelijk is het zover: vanaf 30 januari 2009 is de mobiele internetervaring van T-Mobile G1 ook voor klanten van T-Mobile Nederland binnen handbereik. Gebruikers kunnen met één druk op het touchscreen of via het QWERTY-toetsenbord snel en eenvoudig online informatie vinden, surfen op internet of op zoek naar hun locatie met Google Maps. Na de geslaagde invoering van deze unieke handset in de Verenigde Staten en het Verenigd Koninkrijk introduceert T-Mobile de T-Mobile G1 nu ook in Nederland, Oostenrijk, Tsjechië, Polen en Duitsland. De T-Mobile G1 is ’s werelds eerste mobiele telefoon met het Android-besturingssysteem. Hij is voorzien van een intuïtieve gebruikersinterface en biedt directe toegang tot Google Search en externe applicaties via Android Market. Daarnaast beschikt hij over nog een aantal mobiele applicaties. Het toestel heeft een geïntegreerde GPS-functionaliteit waarmee gebruikers informatie over hun huidige locatie kunnen gebruiken. Andere functies zijn HSDPA voor mobiele bandbreedten tot 7,2 Mbit/s, WLAN, een integreerde GPS-kompas, een QWERTY-toetsenbord met vijf rijen, een trackball en een groot, uitschuifbaar touchscreen met drie gebruiksvriendelijke startschermen.

“De G1 biedt een superieure mobiele internetervaring”, benadrukt Hamid Akhavan, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van T-Mobile International AG. “We zijn er trots op dat we deze handset nu ook aan onze klanten op het Europese vasteland kunnen aanbieden. Dit is opnieuw een mijlpaal in ons streven naar het bieden van innovatief mobiel internet.”

Slechts één klik verwijderd van de wereld van Google

T-Mobile, Google en handsetfabrikant HTC hebben nauw samengewerkt om het Android-besturingssysteem en de transmissietechnologie voor het supersnelle T-Mobile netwerk in de T-Mobile G1 te integreren. Een van de belangrijkste resultaten is dat de Google-diensten, nu al bij miljoenen mensen via de computer bekend, nu ook snel en eenvoudig onderweg te gebruiken zijn. Het beste voorbeeld hiervan is de Google zoekmachine. Via autocomplete hebben gebruikers met een minimale gegevensinvoer toegang tot alle gewenste informatie en entertainment. Doordat de T-Mobile G1 continu verbonden is met internet, worden websites razendsnel geladen. Gebruikers kunnen elk gewenst deel van een pagina vergroten door het scherm aan te raken. Telefoonnummers die op websites worden weergegeven, zijn met twee kliks op de trackball te bellen. Favorieten zijn snel in te stellen, er kunnen meerdere browservensters tegelijk worden geopend, pagina’s en delen van pagina’s zijn eenvoudig te kopiëren en in een bestand te plakken, links zijn eenvoudig door te sturen en nog veel meer. Gebruikers van de T-Mobile G1 hebben ook eenvoudig toegang tot de navigatiedienst Google Maps en kunnen moeiteloos hun huidige locatie opzoeken en een uitgebreide routebeschrijving opvragen. Bovendien is het met Google Maps mogelijk om adressen van hotels, restaurants of bioscopen op te sporen.

The T-Mobile G1 is een ideaal platform voor e-mail communicatie. E-mails die via Google Mail™ worden ontvangen, worden direct automatisch doorgestuurd naar de handset.  Uiteraard kunnen klanten ook andere e-maildiensten gebruiken met de G1 (POP3, IMAP). De T-Mobile G1 kan automatisch contactpersonen of agendanotities synchroniseren en Google Talk™ Instant Messaging Service is gratis beschikbaar. Ten slotte is het delen van een leuk filmpje met anderen op YouTube™ eenvoudig een kwestie van het doorsturen van een link via Google Mail.

Android Market

De T-Mobile G1 biedt als eerste mobiele telefoon ter wereld toegang tot Android Market, waarop al ruim 700 applicaties van internationale ontwikkelaars beschikbaar zijn en voortdurend nieuwe diensten en applicaties worden toegevoegd. Gebruikers kunnen in slechts enkele kliks games downloaden, gebruikmaken van netwerkdiensten, mobiel winkelen en hun handset aanpassen aan hun voorkeuren.

Twee voorbeelden van succesvolle applicaties van Android Market zijn ShopSavvy en Wikitude. ShopSavvy is een mobiele winkelhulp waarmee gebruikers eenvoudig met behulp van de ingebouwde camera op de G1 de barcode van het gewenste product kunnen scannen. ShopSavvy biedt vervolgens informatie over het product en gaat binnen enkele seconden op zoek naar de beste aanbiedingen in online shops en winkels in de buurt, op basis van de huidige locatie van de gebruiker. Wikitude bevat beschrijvingen van zo’n 350.000 bezienswaardigheden overal ter wereld. Het hoogtepunt van deze applicatie is de speciale cameramodus: de camera projecteert de lokale bezienswaardigheden op de zoeker van de camera. Vervolgens verschijnen ze als stipjes in het gebied dat wordt bekeken, met desgewenst de bijbehorende informatie uit Wikipedia.

Geïnteresseerden in de G1 van T-Mobile kunnen vanaf nu het toestel kopen via www.t-mobile.nl/G1. Ook kunnen ze vanaf 20 januari bij één van de 80 T-Mobile Shops een voorinschrijving doen met een aanbetaling van 50 euro. First phone to run on Android available from T-Mobile on 30 October

London, 15 October: T-Mobile today announces the hotly anticipated T-Mobile G1 – the phone built for the internet and the first to run on the innovative Android open source mobile software platform – will be available in the UK from 30 October.

Exclusive to T-Mobile, the G1 offers a completely new mobile internet experience with full touch screen functionality plus a QWERTY keyboard for easy online communication, high speed internet with popular Google services already on board, and access to innovative application downloads from the new Android Market.

Since unveiling the device in New York in September, over 25,000 UK consumers pre-registered their interest in the device. The wait will be over on 30 October as the T-Mobile G1 hits the shelves at T-Mobile stores just five weeks after its official unveiling.

First Blog!!

Hi everybody and let me start with a warm welcome to our brand new blog.

It’s been a busy week as we have chanced the complete layout of the page. And there are still a few bugs we need to fix, but it’s looking pretty good. In the folowing weeks we will be adding more content on a daily basis. The mobile wallpaper section is up and we will start with a few wallpapers that will feature our site logo. But after that there will be some babes and car and stuff

I am verry exited about our ringtone section that wil feature all exlusive tones made with real instrument and artists. It will take us a few more weeks tho to get those up. Please beare with us as.
